    Description

Here is a stunning, original British World War I poster advertising "FEED THE GUNS WITH WAR BONDS" by artist Sidney Stanley about 1918.  It is framed behind glass and measures 20 x 30 inches.  Condition and color are good, some old creases and one line from folding although these don't shown up at a distance.  No losses to note.
From a recent estate clear-out we have an antique WW1 era framed print of Field Marshall Frederick Sleigh or Lord Roberts. The outside dimensions of the frame are 20"W x 25"H. Inside frame dimensions are approx. 14.75"W x 19.5"H. There is some foxing on the print itself which is to be expected on one hundred year old paper item but the overall condition and colors are very good. The wood and gesso frame is also in good condition for its age. According to research, Field Marshal Frederick Sleigh Roberts, 1st Earl Roberts, VC, KG, KP, GCB, OM, GCSI, GCIE, KStJ, VD, PC, FRSGS, was a British Victorian era general who became one of the most successful British military commanders of his time. His death occurred in 1914. An interesting piece of military history for your collection. Please refer to all of the listing photos for additional detail and condition. Any defects shown in the photos but not mentioned here in the description shall be considered as described. Thanks for taking a look!
