    Description

I've looked all over the internet, I've asked lots of collectors, and I believe this to be produced by Tiffin Glass in the Aunt Polly pattern. Don't hold me to that! Aunt Polly looks more like it than anything else I've seen. The major problem is that I can't find Aunt Polly in clear glass!
So   ----- We are calling this an "Aunt Polly style shallow bowl"
Swirled diamond points end in flutes all the way around the edge of this lovely bowl. I believe that is was intended as a centerpiece bowl, measuring 8 1/2" X 2 1/4". It is pressed on a fantastic clear blank, and has a nice "feel" as well.

Green Cherryberry Compote coming to you from
    Cedar Street Treasures
    .
Early 1930's and manufactured by U.S. Glass Company.
U.S. Glass was known for the manufacturing of heavy,
roughly molded glass.  Even pieces that are acknowledged as
mint may have extra glass burrs on seams where it came out of
the mold.  However, Cherryberry and its sister patter, Strawberry
are noticed by today's collectors despite those earlier shortcomings.
The compote is 5 3/4" across the top and stands 3 1/2" tall.  It has 3 different
patterns.  A zipper pattern at the top with a cluster of cherries in the middle
and a starburst on the bottom.
Very good condition. Some mould roughness around the edge.
No cracks, chips, strains, or repairs.
Please view pictures for more information on this piece.
If you have question, please ask and we will do our
    best for answer them.
